seasoning,\u00a0salsa,\u00a0and ketchup, just to name a few.\u00a0When purchasing\u00a0condiments \u2013\u00a0look at the serving size on the nutrition facts\u00a0table\u00a0first. Serving sizes vary from product to product and for condiments, they\u00a0may range from \u00bc cup down to \u00bd tsp.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Once you know the serving size, look at the amount of sodium listed. To find a condiment that is low in sodium,\u00a0choose\u00a0one\u00a0with\u00a05% or\u00a0less\u00a0of the\u00a0daily value\u00a0for sodium.\u00a0Condiments with\u00a0a daily\u00a0value of 15% or more for sodium\u00a0are\u00a0on the high side.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For most condiments, using a teaspoon (tsp) here or there likely isn\u2019t a big deal. However,\u00a0if\u00a0you\u2019re someone that uses condiments liberally, the serving size can be a guide to how much you can incorporate without it being problematic.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Use the chart below to help guide you when shopping for low sodium food items and condiments! You can also make low to no sodium, homemade versions of your favorite condiments, such as garlic-lime marinade.
