Or at least not necessarily right.&nbsp;The cocoa solids in chocolate&nbsp;have&nbsp;some useful nutrients. According to&nbsp;a study on chocolate published in&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/journals\/lancet\/article\/PIIS0140-6736(99)02267-9\/fulltext\" target=\"_blank\">The Lancet<\/a>, chocolate contains a type of polyphenolic antioxidant known as flavonoids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"280\" src=\"https:\/\/360care.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/flavanol.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/360care.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/flavanol.jpg 500w, https:\/\/360care.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/flavanol-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are also found in teas, fruits and vegetables.&nbsp;Flavanols, the specific flavonoid found in cocoa solids&nbsp;have been linked to&nbsp;lower blood pressure and increased glucose metabolism. Don\u2019t go running off to the store to buy ten boxes of the sweet stuff. Hang on and let me finish.
